ISEES TO PARTICIPATE IN INBAR BAMBOO FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY TASK FORCE MEETING IN YAOUNDE, CAMEROON

The International Network for Bamboo and Rattan (INBAR) is organizing a forum on Bamboo for Renewable Energy and will set up a task force to monitor and support the development of bamboo for renewable energy interventions in the African continent. ISEES has been nominated, represented by its Director, Mr. Lovans Owusu-Takyi, as a member of the Taskforce team.

The responsibilities will be among others, to promote bamboo for renewable energy adoption in theWest African and African sub-region and promote its development.

To ISEES, the participation in this workshop falls in line with our program on Sustainable Biomass Fuels Development Program that seeks to promote the development of various biomass feedstock for sustainable energy in Ghana and Africa.

ISEES is setting up a bamboo agroforestry program in the Eastern and northern regions of Ghana as well as promoting training in bamboo briquette production, bamboo charcoal development, and the alternative use of bamboo products for economic development whiles promoting bamboo biodiversity and propagation.
