GIZ Bavaria Ministry of Foreign Affairs had organized a capacity building study tour for Energy experts in Ghana and Nigeria.
Two ISEES staff were selected to participate in the study tour that was organized from 23rd to 29th July 2017.
The tour included an overview of the renewable energy policies I Bavaria and how it catalyzed adoption and investments in Renewable energy technologies in Germany. It also provided exposure on the bioenergy situation in Bavaria.
Participants visited 3 biogas companies, an oil expelled producer and user, KONARO bioenergy research center and a company producing gasifier machines for electricity generation.
The tour ended at the Bavarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs office where certificates we’re issued to the participants.
The technologies included large scale biogas digesters suitable for municipal waste treatment in Africa for electricity generation, fertilizer and CHP.
Also oil expellers for efficient oil expelling for both food and energy.
