ISEES PROVIDES RENEWABLE ENERGY ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING TO YOUTH AKIM SWEDRU

150 youth in Akim Swedru, has been trained in renewable energy entrepreneurship under the Auspices of the Institute for Sustainable Energy and Environmental Solutions (ISEES) with funding from Gower Street and Bread for the World Germany. The program aimed at empowering community-based youth in renewable energy entrepreneurship.

According to the Programs Coordinator, George Atta Quainoo, participants were trained in Solar Energy, Clean Cooking, energy efficiency, and energy audit as well as business skills.

Mr Raphael Teye the facilitator indicated that participants were also led through the business model canvas, business skills, and ways in which they could improve their business operations.

A selected number of participants were taken through mentorship and further training to enable them to develop their businesses further to attract the needed investment for business growth.

Empowering youth in renewable energy is key to helping them understand the opportunities in the renewable energy sector and be able to venture into it.
