ISEES in partnership with the Ghana Alliance for Clean Cookstoves (GHACCO) exhibited clean cookstoves and solar lamps at the just ended Clean Cooking Art Festival of the Ghana Education Service In Sunyani. The cooking art festival was part of efforts to promote awareness on clean cookstoves among youth in schools in Ghana.
ISEES participation in this event was under the auspices of the Ghana Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, and the West African Alliance for Clean Cookstoves of the ECOWAS Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency’s ” Scaling Up Access to Gasifier Stoves in Ghana”
The Ghana Alliance for Clean Cookstoves and Fuels is working with World Education to mainstream clean cooking into the Ghana Educational Curriculum for basic and second cycle institutions in Ghana. This is part of efforts to promote clean cooking among the youth in Ghana to reduce the challenges that traditional cooking impacts on women and children.
