ISEES PARTNERS BREAD FOR THE WORLD GERMANY TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE GREEN BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FOR YOUTH IN GHANA

The Institute for Sustainable Energy and Environmental Solutions (ISEES) Ghana is proud to be partner Bread for the World Germany to provide training and business acceleration support for youth in sustainable green businesses in Ghana and Africa.

Bread for the World is a Christian-based organization that aims and fights to end world hunger, focusing both at home and abroad. Their organization includes thousands of churches and organizations across the country of all denominations. Founded in 1975, Bread for the World has already influenced and created positive change since its inception. The organization’s goal is to end world hunger by 2030 through a combination of advocacy, action, and prayer.

The partnership included support from Bread for the World in seconding a sustainability expert personnel from Germany in the person of Mr. Alhassan Muniru in Ghana to support the program and the provision of 20000 Euros to help provide skills training and advisory services for 50 young entrepreneurs implementing Green Business initiatives in sustainable energy, agriculture and sanitation in Ghana.

The Initiative will also support the development of the Sustainability Hub, a business incubation hub under the Institute that will be institutionalized to sustain the growth and post training follow up support for the green businesses in Ghana.

The initiative is part of efforts to help achieve the program of ISEES Sustainable Business Incubation Program (SUBIC) that seeks to support 500 young entrepreneurs to develop their green business ideas in 5 years and help facilitate access to finance, technical assistance, market development and strategic networking for the young green businesses.

ISEES and Bread for the World seeks to contribute to ending hunger and poverty through the empowerment and development of youth in sustainable green businesses in the sustainable energy, agriculture and sanitation space to contribute to the government efforts of reducing poverty, creating employment, reducing climate change and contributing to sustainable development and a low carbon development pathway.
