ISEES INITIATES WOMEN IN SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM

ISEES has initiated a community development program to empower smallholder women farmers and youth in sustainable agriculture to enable them to develop skills for decent work, while improving the productivity and sustainability of food production and processing in local communities within the Ayensuano, Suhum, and Nsawam municipalities

As part of the Initiative, ISEES received support from the 11th hour agroecology fund to train women in Agroecology. Over 85 women received training in soap making, agroforestry, tree nursery management, pomade and cream making and composting as well as the production of organic insecticides and weedicides through the program. Some selected women farmers received tree seedlings to transplant on their farms to start the agroforestry project.

Further into 2025, Over 200 women are participating in training in Poultry and Palm Oil Processing in partnership with the Agricultural Technical Institute and Social Enterprise Ghana under a MasterCard Foundation program

ISEES seeks to strengthen partnership and cooperation with local and international organizations in bringing development in Ghana
