iseesghana Uncategorized

ISEES as part of efforts to promote access to sustainable energy solutions for climate change mitigation, was invited by the Climate Change Unit of the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology, (MESTI) to showcase its innovations and educate people on the benefits of switching to climate smart solutions. This was part of the climate change week events in preparation for COP22 in Marrakesh

ISEES represented by Lovans Owusu-Takyi, Director and Christabel Badu, Marketing Assistant, showcased various climate smart solutions that ISEES has been promoting in rural communities in Ghana at the fair.

These included, Clean Cookstoves – that uses various agricultural waste as fuels, less fuel, less emissions and cooks faster (Prime Stove, Elsa Stove and Philips Stove). ISEES also showcased solar lanterns and solar home systems to indicate that households and small enterprises can switch from over dependence on fossil fuel generators, thermal electricity generation to renewable energy solutions for lighting and powering appliances. ISEES also showcased LED Bulbs that is low in wattage, energy efficient, extra bright and durable to reduce electricity consumption in households and businesses.

ISEES through these innivative solutions educated a host of visitors to its stand on the benefits of switching to clean energy solutions and encouraged the participants to consider climate mart solutions first to reduce their expenditure on energy, reduce climate emissions and improve their livelihoods and environment.
