As part of efforts to promote access to modern, affordable and efficient clean cookstoves in Ghana, the Institute for Sustainable Energy and Environmental Solutions (ISEES) has provided technical support to the Sustainable Energy Technologies Limited (a start up company into the production of clean cooking solutions in Ghana) to develop new cookstove technologies for the Ghana and African Market.
The innovative cookstoves developed includes the Biomass Gasifier Stoves (Cooklight Stoves and Cooksafe Stoves) the Ecochar improved carbonized charcoal stove and the EcoFire Stove which is an improved efficient firewood stoves developed from 2019 to 2021 to revolutionarize the clean cooking market in Ghana.
The ISEES Clean Cooking Innovation Center, commits to continue the development of innovative clean cookstoves for households, food processors, schools and cottage industries in Ghana. Innovative cookstoves under research and development includes the Improved Fish smoking stoves, improved commercial round bottom pot stoves and ethanol stoves
A new technology development center is being developed in Teacher Mante in the Eastern Region of Ghana to scale up the production and distribution of these innovative cookstoves for the local market in Ghana and Africa.
