ISEES PARTICIPATES IN CAPACITY BUILDING FOR CSOs IN CLEAN ENERGY ACCESS ON THE WORLD BANK AND AFDBs CSOs ENGAGEMENT FRAMEWORKS

As part of efforts to promote improved advocacy, capacity building and cso engagement within the Association for Civil Society Organizations in Clean Energy Access (ACCESS) network, ISEES as a member of ACCESS participated in a workshop aimed at building capacity of ACCESS CSO members in Ghana and West Africa on the engagement frameworks of the World Bank and African Development Bank.

The workshop was hosted by Strategic Youth Network for Development (SYND) which is also the convener for ACCESS Network in Ghana and West Africa.

The workshop was participated by Lovans Owusu-Takyi, the Director of ISEES and Ridwan Salia an environmental advocacy officer at ISEES.

The workshop afforded the participants an understanding of the World Bank’s Country Framework Partnerships and thematic areas of CSO engagements as well as advocacy points on which CSOs can engage effectively with government and development partners to enhance sustainable development in Ghana.

The workshop was faciliated by SYND Director, and ACCESS Coordinator Ezekiel Chibeze and other presenters from the World Bank and AFDB.

ISEES commitment to enhancing access to decentralized energy and the productive use of energy for agriculture and rural development was a key part of the engagement strategy for which ISEES seeks to address.
